Opening night of the Pen and Ink Brigade’s show to support free and fair elections.

Copy from the Pen and Ink Brigade:

You may recognize our award-winning work in beloved children's books and in your favorite magazines and newspapers. We are the Pen and Ink Brigade, women artists joining forces to create progressive change. We have created several projects to raise money for groups such as Emily's List, VoteRiders, and Stacey Abrams' Fair Fight 2020. We have also collaborated on projects for Persisticon, and submitted proposals for murals, and other community based public art.

Elgin, IL Starlight Parade!

From the FB page:

Come ride with us in a starlight parade along the Fox River! Elgin Bike Hub is taking the next steps to become a non-profit community organization and we want to celebrate with you. Decorate and light up your bike and join us in the dream of Elgin as a "cycle city".

We will be joined by special guest, Alison Farrell, author/illustrator of the children's book "Cycle City", the source of our event theme. http://www.drawdrawdraw.com/books/

We will ride for just 2 slow-rolling miles on a bike path route, which will be lined with our own special stars.

Riders please take care that your bike has a clear headlight and a red rear reflector or a red rear light (to comply with IL state law for night riding).
